2nd Interception

My 2nd Interception came in the second round of the playoffs against Texas A&M Kingsville. In the beginning of the 4th quarter we were trailing 18 to 28 and i knew a big defensive play needed to be made.  The quaterback stepped up to throw and as i looked up he had alot of pressure in his face, he tried to scramble around but there were bearcats defensive players all around his feet, so as the pressure was coming on the QB decided to just throw the ball up iin the air, but what he didnt know was that the ball would be coming directly to me, and that would be the changing play in the game between us two teams.

Birthday Luck

On 11-20-2010 we the Northwest Missouri State football team had a playoff game against our rival Missouri Western, but the most important part about that day was that it was my birthday. In the ending results we came out with the close victory, but with all that going on i managed to get my 1st career interception as a Bearcat, and what better time to get it than on my birthday, and when it was such a clutch time to make a big play.

First and Last

This weekend we went up against Pitt State at Arrowhead Stadium, and this was my first time ever playing against them. I think i played pretty well this game, i even came up with an important pass break up at the end of the game, but it's not about me it's about what the game meant to me and my team.  It meant getting to have home field advantage in this weekends first playoff game against MO. Western, and that is more important than anything else right abut now

MIAA Conference Champions

This weekend we went out and won the MIAA Conference Championship against UCM, it was hard hard fought game that literally came down to the final seconds on a 49 yard long field goal by our kicker Todd Adolf.  That kick was probably one of the best highlights of my career because it was actually a happy moment that me and the rest of my teammates could share together.

4th start

My 4th Start against UCM didn't turn out all that great actually, i mean we went out and got the victory as a team, but from an individual stand point i'm going to have to do alot better when it comes to cutting down my mistakes.

MIAA Championship

Tomorrow we play for the MIAA Conference Championship against UCM and everything is on the line. If we were to lose tomorrow, we could lose our #3 ranking position in the National rankings, we could lose the bye weel for the fist week of the playoffs, and most of all we could lose the MIAA Conference Championship.  Now since i've been here at Northwest Missouri State we have always won the conference championship, and i really don't see any reason why we can't go out tomorrow and keep history going. We all know it's going to be a dog fight, but to be honest we wouldn't want it any other way.

3rd Start

Yes today i received my third start against Fort Hays.  I played really well looking at the statistic sheet but alot went on during the game that i didnt really agree with.  I felt kinda betrayed on one play because i wasnt able to get back across the field on 1 play to see the play my coach was calling so i asked a teammate and he gace me the wrong call and the coaches went nutts when I didnt execute what they wanted me to do. But hey no excuses i'll take the blame for all of that since it is my job to get the play every down, and Execute the call. I also got out of my character by getting so upset with what all had happened and I apologize for that, but i bounced back and came back out the 2nd half and played even harder, things might of not been going my way completely but i didnt let that keep me away from helping me and my team out by giving 100% into the game, and that I am not sorry for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #26 OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2nd Start

Well I played good enough the week before that the coaches rewarded me the starting job again for the game against Washburn. I played very well against Washburn i had 5 tackles and a pass break up, all i have to do is work on my wrapping up more because somehow i missed 3 tackles, but oh well thats nothing i cant practice harder at and correct. Yes we wen out and got the vicotory 40-41, it was a nail biter, but hey a win is a win.

History Was Made

Even though it was a dog fight we some how came out on top last saturday against Emporia State. The offense had done all that they could do and in the 4th quater it was time for the defense to step up and make some big plays.  Ryan Jones and Chad Kilgore both stepped up bug for us catching interceptions and tunning them back for touchdowns.  That was the changing points in the came that helped bring us to victory.  As far as me getting my 1st start last weekend well that went pretty good too, I only ended the game with 3 tackles but i played my hardest and i was always in the right spot that i was supposed to be, Im starting again this weekend and im sure my stats will be alot better, althoguh its not about my stats its about coming out of the stadium with more point than the opposing team. #26 out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Beginning

As I was looking through the letter Coach Will Wagner’s email and phone number came up, so I went straight to the computer and started writing him letting him know that I really wanted to come to school here and wanted to help the team get over that last bump and bring home a championship.  He responded by letting me know he was interested and drove to Texas to see what kind of person I was, and look at high school and college game field to make sure I was the person I said I was.  When he arrived we instantly started talking about how I could benefit from the team and how the team could benefit from me, and after hours of just catching up and getting to know one another we decided that Northwest Missouri State was the place for me to be.  Coach Will Wagner drove back to Missouri to let the other coaches know about me and to also let them know when I was coming and how I was arriving.  After he gave me the phone calls that everything was ok me and my mom scheduled a flight for me to leave 3 weeks later from when Coach Will Wagner had come to visit me.  When the three weeks were finally up I went to the airport in Dallas named Dallas Love Field and I was out on the 1st flight to Kansas City, Missouri.

SWOSU LIFE

I only spent a year and a half in Oklahoma because it really wasn’t a good fit for me.  It wasn’t the school or anything because I actually lied going to school there, but the problem was the team.  We weren’t very good at all, and instead of going out to try to get a lot of victories, we went out to not get killed by the other team completely so basically before the games we had already realized that we were going to lose that game.  We really didn’t have any discipline in Oklahoma so that was a big part I think of the losing record.  So after the season was over I soon realized that the team and system wasn’t at all for me, and I could no longer put up with losing every game so I decided to leave Southwestern Oklahoma State and go schools shopping once again.

First Start

Dis weekend it's looking like im going to be getting my first start since i've been in the Bearcat program.  To me i think its long over due because i've did nothing but work my butt off since i've been here.  I'm just glad to finally get the opportunity to show what i can do coming straight out the gate instead of coming off the bench and making plays.  To me it's so hard to have your head in the game coming off the bench because I never had to do that growing up, but hey im happy with every opportunity the give me considering I didn't play at all when I first arrived on campus. Make sure yall attend the game this weekend because i'm feeling like it's going to be a career high for me in every statistic there is, and yall will also get to see me and the rest of my Bearcat teammates make history this weekend by extending our conference win streak to 42 wins, something no other team has ever done.

MIAA #5

This week we can do something that has never been done by any MIAA conference football ever, we can make history by winning the most consecutive games ever without losing in the conference.  But to make history we have to 1st go through 5-2 record Emporia State.  Now they are alot better than they have been in the past 3 years, but that really doesnt make a difference to us, because we believe if we come out and practice hard nd bring our "A" game saturday to Bearcats Stadium, we will be re-writing the record books.

49-21

Yes we went out and got the job done against Missouri Southern, we got right after them right out the gate.  We plan on doing this from here on out, as a team we felt that we let the coaches and fans down by not playing to the best of our ability the 1st game of the season.  But now we have our heads screwed on right and we are working hader than ever to try to bring Maryville another championship.

Missouri Southern

We have had a great week of practice this week, and if we play this week like we played last we, we are going to be a hard team to stop. We have been getting better and better each week, so saturday we play to go out and get another conference win. MIAA #4. #26 OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Moving On

Well we went to practice today like any other tuesday and you could tell that we were kinda still exhausted from all the time and energy we all put into the Missouri Western game.  But oh well its a new week and a new challenge against Missouri Southern this weekend and we have to get over the important win last week, and get ready to hopefully dominate again this week in the MIAA conference.

Focused

We have had a great week of practice this week, you can tell the whole team is very focused this week. This rival game will be like non other, we really dont like Missouri Western and they dont like us either. So if yall are at the game saturday yall will see alot of pushing, fighting, might even see alot of spitting, but i hope when all of this is going on the fans are in the stands helping us get an edge over the opponent by being loud as they can be, because believe me it;s going down soon as its game time. #26 OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rival Game

This week is a big 1, we go up agaist our rival Missouri Western which we really hate.  The only thing that seperates us is 42 miles so there has been alot of noise talking seeing that they are undefeated so far and all.  But thats ok because when the bearcats take the field on saturday we are going to be looking to shut them up.  YEAH WE HAVE A BULLSEYE ON OUR BACK, BUT WE ALSO HAVE ONE ON THEIR CHEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#26 OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Beginning

Every week in our eyes on the field all we see is that we are 0-1, even though we won last week we just erase that off the record and look at this one loss we have. It keeps us motivated to never lose again and from the way we practice this past week i don see us losing anytime soon and aspecially not this week.  We just gone take it a week at a time, and hopefully keeping bringing the NorthWest Fans good results.

The Introduction of #26

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/F8Ll3CXhwAU?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/F8Ll3CXhwAU?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

This was the game that I was 1st noticed in. I started 3rd string on the depth chart and the 1st string safety had gottan an head injury, and the 2nd string safety was playing real bad and really wasnt very good, so then the coaches let me come in and do som special thing, such as alot of tackles and alot of pass knock downs.  All of this is not in this video but it gives you a feel of how important this game was, it was also an Homecoming game. #26 out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bouncing Back

WWWWOOOOOWWWW dis week we turned things around and came out with a great victory against Nebraska Omaha 58-23.  It all started with the 2 week preparation, after the loss to Kingsville Coach T decided hat we would no focus on Nebraska Omaha during our bye week, instead w would focus on ourselves.  So to do that we went back to scimmaging with te #1 Defense against the #1 Offense just to see how everyone would respond.  After the scrimmag was over it was clear that we were pretty upset about the loss and everyone responded in a positive manner,  So after the 1st week was up we started to review Nebraska Omahas offense and defense and what was so different about this week is that you could tell that everyone was reall keying in the what the coaches were wanting to get across to us this week, and it's no doubt about it that all of it worked because like i said we came out with a 58-23 victory. #26 out!!!!!!!!!!!!

Journey to Northwest

I actually didnt start playing football until my senior year in high school, where i attended Terrell High School in Terrell, Tx.  I received several accomplishments while participating in football such as All-state, All-Region and Defensive Player of the Year in distict 11 class 4A.  After my senior season was finished it was soon time to decide what college i would attend for my college career.  After several division II offers and and alot of college visits i soon came to the decision that i wanted to attend college at Southwestern Oklahoma State which is located in Weatherford, Ok. We call it SWOSU for short.  My career at SWOSU only lasted a year and a half, i had soon discovered that i didnt like it in Oklahoma that much.  It wasnt the school because i actually loved the school, it was the way the football team carried themselves.  The team always went out on the field for game time not looking for an victory, but only looking not to get totally killed by the other team.  So once i decided that SWOSU wasnt for me i immediately got in touch wih Northwest Missouri State which where also recruiting me out of high school, and i had a talk with Coach Will Wagner about coming to Northwest and starting over with my college career from scratch.  Well one conversation lead to the next and the next thing i know im packing my bags to come join the Bearcats. This decision ive never disliked, and im still waking up every morning thinking of a way to get better in order to help bring us anothr championship. #26 OUT!!!
